Game of Thrones breakthrough artist Emilia Clarke will be joining the Han Solo standalone film, a Star Wars spinoff.
From Game Of Thrones To Star Wars Spinoff
Looks like Emilia Clarke will not only be in Westeros with her dragons but also in a galaxy far, far away – with Han and Chewie.
How exciting could this get?
Starwars.com excitedly announced that Emilia Clarke will be joining the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie.
The 30-year-old British actress will be joining Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover. They were previously cast as Han Solo and Lando Calrissian. The highly anticipated film would be set prior to the original Star Wars trilogy.
Clarke, Ehrenreich and Glover endured exhausting testing sessions for the spinoff. Thousands of actors read for the role of the character that Ehrenreich eventually got.

Daenerys Makes The Cut
Emilia Clarke landed the role that Tessa Thompson, Naomi Scott and Zoe Kravitz auditioned for in October.
Clarke is among the group tested in London along with Kiersey Clemons, Adria Arjona and Game of Thrones costar Jessica Henwick.
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller decided on one more round of testing after struggling to make their choice in September.
In other news, the franchise received praises for putting female characters front and center. This would be the third film from the franchise, aside from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the upcoming film, Rogue One.
The untitled Han Solo movie will have a 2018 release prior to Star Wars: A New Hope, just like the upcoming Star Wars spinoff, Rogue One.
Meanwhile, Emilia Clarke’s role in the said film is still unspecified. Stay tuned for more updates!
